A smart home should make life easier without handing your front door, your cameras, and your daily routine to the open internet. Security is not an add-on at SimpliSmart. It is built into every system we design, from the first plan to the final handover. Here is exactly how we do it.

We separate your gadgets from your life
Your smart plugs, cameras and sensors live on their own dedicated network, walled off from the laptops and phones that hold your personal data. If one cheap device is ever compromised, it stays in its own lane. It cannot reach your computers or jump to the rest of your home. This is network segmentation, and we set it up by default on every install.
Your home keeps working when the internet does not
We build local-first. Your lights, heating, locks and alarms run on hardware in your home, not on a far-away cloud server. Pull the internet cable and your essential automations keep working. That also means no vendor can switch off a feature, lock you in, or sell on your data as a condition of using your own home. You own it.
Remote access that is locked, not left open
Want to check the house from your phone while you are away? You get it through an encrypted private tunnel, the same class of technology banks and businesses use for secure remote work. We never expose your control panel directly to the internet, which is the single most common way smart homes get broken into. Every device you connect gets its own key that we can switch off in seconds if a phone is ever lost.
Strong locks on the front door of your system
Every administrator account is protected with two-factor authentication, so a password alone is never enough to get in. Each member of the household gets their own login with only the access they need. We change every default password on every device, because "admin/admin" is how attackers walk straight in.
Backups that actually come back
We set up automatic encrypted backups and keep a copy off the device, so a failed drive or a mistake never costs you your whole setup. And we do not just assume the backup works. We test a full restore before we hand over, and we leave you a simple recovery plan so you always know what to do.
We keep it current
Software ages. We hand over every system fully updated, install only trusted components, and agree a clear plan with you for keeping things patched. No forgotten open doors, no unused features left switched on to widen the target.
